OK so I’m reading the paper today and everone is talking about the potential vice president Sarah Palin. I love how Republicans can put a spin on anything. California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring said:“She cuts taxes and shoots moose. That’s Governor Palin” Meghan McCaine said about Palin’s 17 year old pregnant daughter:“I have not known Bristol Palin very long, but there is a certainkinship I feel to her as I do other political daughters such as ChelseaClinton, Jenna and Barbara Bush and Mary Cheney,” she said. “You can’tfully understand it unless you have lived it. So I just wanted to letit be known that I support Bristol Palin and the entire Palin family.”Matthew Wilson, political scientist, SouthernMethodist University, Dallas said:“She brings some appeal to women voters who feel that Obama has treatedHillary Clinton badly.” But the only thing I heard today that made sense was from…you better sit down…Lindsay Lohan. She said:“Why are we talking about any of this? I don’t care about her pregnant daughter. What can she do for the country?”Well put Lindsay. Why all the fuss? I think it’s the best move for the Democrats and the worst for McCaine. The bottom line is that she appears to be a radical, gun toting, country bumpkin. I wouldn’t want her running the country.But at the end of the day that is what we need to ask ourselves: if John McCaine died, (which at his age is likely) would you want her to run this country?Probably not.On the other hand, she’s pretty and sucks a mean cock (that’s what they do in Alaska!).And she bagged a moose!
